I am going back through a whole bunch of phtotos, slide, etc., and scanning them to try to preserve and share them. (I’m also taking more pix, but that’s another post). One thing that struck me was how well slides I shot in Kodachrome have held their colors, and how poorly my Ektachrome shots held up. One caveat is that these were taken about 24 years ago; I don’t know how well “modern” Ektachrome (or its equivalent) holds up.
This photo was taken Dec 1984 or Jan 1985 on K64. The colors are just as they were when I got them back from processing.
This photo was taken around Jan or Feb 1984 on Ektachrome 200.
The sky was originally just as blue as in the slide of Dan Nason. This is the Ektachrome that held its color the best; all my Kodachromes are like the shot of Nason. Here’s another example of k64; I took this in Oct 1985:
I may have to pick up some more Kodachrome before Kodak stops making it!
